Chris Cheeley, along with board members Harold Good and Kathryn Engle, have decided not to file an insurance claim for wind damage to the roof of one of our buildings. As a result, the Black Bay Village Owners Association will need to pay at least $40,000 for roof replacement costs. Cheeley stated that the reason for this decision is to prevent an increase in insurance rates. Once again, the BBVOA board made this decision without involving the property owners in the meeting. As owners, we are extremely upset about this decision and believe that Cheeley is prioritizing his interests over the best interests of the property owners.

Christopher Larry Cheeley Has Got To Go!
Chris Cheeley is the developer that built this property so you know he probably has an affiliation with the roofing company that will be doing the work. Probably the insurance company isn't willing to pay $40,000 for the replacement roof. There's an apparent profit motive involved here.
